I caught the bug

I popped into The Mannings yesterday and caught my very own Ladybug... here is the big box it comes in. It's almost completely assembled in the box - only the treadles need to be attached (and the kate). One of the quirky things about the Ladybug is that Schacht places a tiny ladybug somewhere on each wheel. The location is never the same, so each wheel is unique. The boys were eager to play "I spy with my little eye... a ladybug!" They found it pretty quickly.
Here, the bug has landed in her new home. I think she looks pretty nice on the hearth.
Did you catch Amy Singer's Ladybug review in the latest issue of knittyspin? She gives it a rave review. I read this review after committing to the bug in my heart, but before actually buying it. It was nice to have the affirmation of an experienced spinner.

I spun a bit this morning and this is going to be a great wheel for me. I'm going to finish up the Coopworth, and then ... who knows what will come next? (Hint: I might be shopping soon)

  1. I like O's t-shirt. Looks like it finally fits him! That wheel IS cute as a bug. You're going to have so much fun.

  2. I second Steven....the bug is adorable! Happy birthday...even if it is early. How's S's ankle? Are we back on the bike yet?

  3. Congratulations!
Love the bug. It looks great on your hearth. How great to have the "professional" confirmation of excellence to back up your purchase.

I too noticed O's shirt. Unfortunately Katie has grown out of her "keep Austin weird" shirt. For awhile it was one of her favorites.

    Happy early birthday, Kristina
