Homespun Yarn Party

I ran across this fun-sounding event on a blog.  It’s in Savage Mill, MD, which looks like it is pretty near BWI – quite drivable for locals.  There will be a marketplace, knitting/spinning/crocheting lessons for beginners, sit-and-knit (or whatever), door prized, etc.  The list of vendors looks pretty tempting:

  • 8th Street Soap Kitchen
  • Alpacas of MD at Peaceful Hollow Farm
  • Alpacas of Windswept Farm
  • Ashton Studio Arts
  • Biggs & Featherbelle
  • Cedar Wool Farm
  • Cosy Knits (Literally)
  • Crash Into Ewe
  • Dancing Leaf Farm
  • Dragonfly Fiber Designs
  • Ewes-ful Fiber Arts
  • Farmgirl Chic
  • Feederbrook Farm
  • Flying Goat Farm
  • Folktale Fibers
  • Gnome Garden
  • Juniper Moon Farm
  • Knitterly Things
  • Loop
  • Mid Valley Fibers
  • Neighborhood Fiber Co.
  • Persimmon Tree Farm
  • Potosi Sheep Farm
  • Rock Creek Yarn
  • Serendipitous Ewe
  • Shelby B's Designs
  • Solitude
  • Spirit Trail Fiberworks
  • The Sanguine Gryphon
  • Woolarina
  • Wullenstudio
  • The event is at Historic Savage Mill, an old mill that is now a shopping center for antiques, crafts, art, and other funky stuff.  They even have resident artists there.  This is potentially a destination for the non-knitter in your family, too.

    Anyone want to go?

I'd love to, but it's a bit far away. But have fun - I know you will. Keep a watchful eye on those savages, though.
