Has it been two months already? Time for another shipment from The Loopy Ewe Sock Club. This may be the first time ever that I've knit the yarn from the last club shipment before the next one arrives.This time, we got a skein of sKNITches Limited Sock (430 yards, 70% superwash merino, 20% bamboo, 10% nylon) in a colorway called "Muddy Waters." The bamboo gives the yarn a bit of a sheen, but not tooooo much. I like it. This will be a great color for me.
Along with the yarn came a pattern from Cookie A. called "Zanzibar." I like the horizontal cable at the top of this sock and the zig zag increase/decrease lines that run through the rest of it. I'm not crazy about the reverse stockinette panels in the sock, so I might just change those to stockinette.
Last but not least, we also got a tiny 3x4" book filled with Post-its of various sizes. I love Post-its, and this will be a perfect addition to my knitting bag.

ReplyDeleteI knit some socks with Sknitches yarn and really liked them. As I recall, the yarn was a little thicker than most sock yarn I've knitted with.
Cookie patterns are cool. Haven't knit one yet, but I always admire them. Have fun!
That post it booklet is SO cute. Thanks for sharing photos of the "extra" stuff that makes it fun!
