How does one pronounce “Cerisara” anyway?
I finished the left front and right front necklines. Here is the sweater-in-progress modeled by my able assistant: See how the little shawl-like collar is formed by the automatic curling of reverse stockinette? Brilliant.
Next step is to join the fronts and backs. If I understand the pattern correctly, I’ll leave arm holes and come back later to fill those in with sleeves.
Wow! Lovely (fast!) knitting, brilliant construction and wonderful modeling. I can't wait to see the finished sweater. Re: pronunciation, maybe "seer-i-sara"?
ReplyDeleteI'm doing a Knitalong with a local knitter friend and she alerted me to a Ravelry group for a Cerisara KAL. I need to troll through all those entries and see if anyone addresses pronunciation!
ReplyDeleteThat is LOVELY! I made attempts to visit the two yarn stores in St. Petersburg and in one case the shop had closed and in the other I got to sit and knit with a half dozen locals...right next door to a Lebanese falafel shop!!!
ReplyDeleteKris, that's your idea of heaven... falafel+LYS. Don't move away! :)
ReplyDeleteThis looks great! I have no idea how to pronounce Cerisara, but I have Doris Day singing "Que Sera Sera" running through my head for some reason! ;-)
